Memory

Memory stores the reminders you write and the email address you sign in with, so that they follow you from one device to another. That is the whole business. There are no ads, no trackers, no analytics, and nothing is sold or handed to anyone for marketing. You can delete your account from inside the app, and when you do, it is gone.

Who is responsible

What Memory collects

Your account

An email address. If you sign in with a one-time link, that is the address you typed. If you sign in with Google or Apple, that provider gives Memory your email address and an account identifier and nothing else: no contacts, no files, no calendar. Apple's option lets you hide your real address, and Memory works normally with the relay address.

What you put in

• Reminders: the title and notes you write, the date and time, whether it repeats and until when, and whether you have ticked it off.
• Courses: the name, short code and ink you assign.
• Class sessions: the day, the hours and the room.
• Course notes: anything you type on a course's Notes tab, and when you wrote it.
• Preferences: your nudge settings, reading density, edition (day or night), and your major if you entered one.

What the app reads on its own

• Your time zone, read from the device, so that a reminder set for 8am arrives at 8am where you are and not where the server is.
• A notification address, only if you turn notifications on. This is issued by Apple or by your browser's push service and identifies the device, not you. It is stored together with two encryption keys and the device's browser identification string, and is used for one thing: delivering Memory's own reminders.

What Memory does not collect

No location. No contacts, photos, files or calendar. No advertising identifier. No analytics or crash-reporting kit of any sort is installed in the app. Memory does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not build a profile of you.

Who else touches it

Memory is one person, so it rents its plumbing. These are the only companies involved, and each one only gets what it needs to do its job:

• Supabase (Supabase Inc., United States) stores the database and runs sign-in and the reminder engine. Your reminders live here.
• Netlify (Netlify Inc., United States) hosts the web version. Like any web server it keeps ordinary request logs, which include IP addresses.
• Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Apple, if you use the iPhone app: for Sign in with Apple if you choose it, and for delivering notifications through Apple Push Notification service.

Because these companies are based in the United States, your data is processed outside Mexico. Nobody else receives it. It is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers, and there is no arrangement under which that could happen.

A plain word about notifications

A reminder notification contains the text of the reminder, because a notification that said only "you have something due" would be useless. On the web, that text is encrypted on Memory's server and can only be read by your device. On iPhone, it passes through Apple's push service to reach your lock screen, which is the only way iOS delivers notifications, and Apple's own privacy policy governs that leg.

How long it is kept

Until you remove it. A deleted reminder is deleted. Deleting your account removes every row that belongs to you, unsubscribes your devices, and deletes the account itself. It is immediate and it cannot be undone, so the app asks you twice.

Deleting your account

Open Settings, go to Account, and choose Delete account. Nothing is retained afterwards except what the law requires, which for an app that takes no payments is nothing. If you would rather ask by email, write to memoryapp2026@gmail.com from your account's address and it will be done within 30 days.

Keeping it safe

Everything travels over HTTPS. The database enforces row-level security, which means the rules that decide who may read a row live in the database itself rather than in the app: another signed-in person cannot read your reminders even if the app asked it to. Sign-in is handled by Supabase and Memory never sees a password, because it never asks for one.

Children

Memory is built for university students and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has created an account, write and it will be deleted.

Your rights

You can see, correct and delete your data at any time from inside the app, which is the fastest route. You may also ask for a copy of everything stored about you, or ask that it be deleted, by writing to the address above. Depending on where you live these rights come from Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, the GDPR, or your local equivalent; the answer is the same either way.

Changes to this policy

Any change is posted on this page with a new date at the top. If a change actually affects what happens to your data, the app will tell you before it takes effect.
